Five hood lengths for the Z 800mm
The stock HB-104 is 143mm long. That is the right hood when the lens is on a tripod and the sun is low, and the wrong one almost every other time, particularly on a lens as portable as the Z 800mm.
Ours come in lengths from 50mm to 145mm, so you can run a short one for carrying and swap to a long one when you are set up. The longest matches the stock hood; the shortest still gives useful shade and packs flat.
Each clicks on exactly like the original HB-104, no adapter ring. The interior uses fine grooves to suppress internal reflections, and every length is checked for vignetting on this lens. Mount forward to shoot, reverse to pack.

Well made and with a good fit. More easy to handle then the original Nikon hood and cap. Thats what you need :)

I love the size and quality of the hood. My only concern is that the “lock” doesn’t appear to be very strong and I worry about losing it in the field. If it locked in like the original it would be perfect!
