A hard cap for any 105mm filter thread
105mm is the front thread on a surprising number of serious lenses, and what they mostly ship with is a pinch cap borrowed from the kit-zoom parts bin. This replaces it with something solid.
It screws onto the 105mm thread, so there is no adapter and nothing to clip. The raised anti-slip ring lets you stand the lens on its face while you swap bodies, and it comes off with one hand rather than two fingers.
It works with the hood mounted forward or reversed.
Lenses that take 105mm filters include: Sigma 60-600mm F4.5-6.3 DG DN OS Sports, Sigma 135mm F1.4 DG Art, Sigma 200mm F2 DG OS Sports, Sigma 105mm F1.4 DG HSM Art, Sigma 120-300mm F2.8 DG OS Sports and the Fujifilm XF 200mm F2 R LM OIS WR. Check the front ring of your lens for the ∅ symbol and the number next to it.
About the 3D printing. It is not hobby filament. It is fiberglass-reinforced engineering plastic, printed by us in the USA, with stainless steel screws and springs.
