CAMDEC Lens Cap for Sony FE 600mm F4 OSS GM

For a lens that spends its life pointed at something

The 600 GM is a hide and touchline lens. It goes on the monopod in the dark, stays there, and the front element is exposed the whole time. Sony's soft cover is fine in the bag and useless in the field, which is where you actually need to cover the front glass in a hurry when the rain comes in.

This cap is made for the front of this lens and clicks straight on, held by two stainless springs. One hand, gloves on, no threading. The raised anti-slip ring means you can rest the lens face down on a rock or a hide shelf while you move the tripod, and it will not slide.

It clears the ALC-SH158 hood forward or reversed. The hood never has to come off.

Pairs with our caps for the 400 GM and 300 GM. If you carry two bodies and two long primes, the same cap system across both means the same one-handed action on each.

About the 3D printing. It is not hobby filament. It is fiberglass-reinforced engineering plastic, printed by us in the USA, with stainless steel screws and springs. It resists heat and moisture, which matters when the lens is in a car all afternoon or out in the damp before dawn.
